Effective 19 September 2026. In plain terms: what stays on your phone, what leaves it, and how to delete it.
The complete downloaded-bank study experience works without an account. Guest study data, preferences, scores, and downloaded StudyBanks remain on this device unless you choose a cloud feature.
If you create an account, the service uses your email address, a learner identifier, registered-device details, study events, settings, and synchronization status to authenticate you, back up progress, and keep supported devices consistent.
When you choose personal StudyBank authoring, the app processes the PDF, extracted text, source figures, and derived authoring records needed to build that private StudyBank. Cloud authoring sends only the material required for that requested job to the configured private storage and processing services. Normal study and active formal mocks do not call an AI provider.
When crash reporting is configured for a build, Sentry receives technical diagnostics such as the app version and crash stack traces to help us fix failures. Screenshots, session replay, and interaction breadcrumbs are disabled. The app does not attach your question text, answers, or email to these reports. Downloaded study material remains available offline.
Local data remains until you delete the app from the device. Signed-in users can permanently delete their cloud account and private cloud data from Privacy and data. Some operational security records may be retained only as required to protect the service or comply with law.
Network traffic uses encrypted connections, authentication tokens use the platform secure store, and downloaded StudyBanks are verified before use. No system can guarantee absolute security, so keep your device and account credentials protected.
